A little about me
I’m SO glad you’re here! Let me introduce myself, my name is Melissa Jo Lonie. My favorite name is Mama but I also consider myself a devoted follower of Jesus.
Many years ago, I prayed for reckless obedience and guess what? You got it, God answered THAT prayer! So, He tells me stuff and I do it (to put it very simply). You and I both know it’s not that simple 🙂 I am 30+ years in the making…
On this site you’ll find me sharing my heart through blog posts. Talking about my faith to draw you into a deeper and more connected relationship with God. You can totally know Him and He can tell you to stuff too!
The bottom line is…I want others to know the heart of Jesus and experience Him for themselves.
My real job (LOL) is in finance! I love helping others make smart decisions with their money. As the first child of three children to receive my undergraduate degree and then later my master’s degree, I’ll never forget something my Dad told me. He said,
“no one will ever be able to take away your degree, having an education is so important.”
I love how that has stuck with me.
Gain knowledge needed to make smart decisions and be successful at whatever you choose.
This can be applied to both finance and your walk with God.
The common thread throughout my career has been education. God has led me every step of the way! I am SO passionate about educating others. I am a maker of lists, PowerPoint presentations and emails with bullet points…I am that gal. I’ve taught finance to adults and more recently elementary students.
All of these elements brought me to start this site. It is a beginning, a starting point for me and maybe for you too.
